Every listing on Disnasty is graded using the Goldmine Grading Standard, the same scale collectors have used for decades. Every listing carries two separate grades, one for the media and one for the sleeve, since a record can play perfectly while its cover shows wear, or the other way around.
The condition of the record, disc, or tape itself, judged on how it plays and how it looks.
The condition of the outer packaging, on the same scale, whether that’s a record sleeve, a CD case, or a cassette shell. Marked N/A when there’s no packaging to grade.
Grading is always somewhat subjective, so it’s worth reading the listing’s notes and photos in addition to the grade itself. Sellers can add notes about specific defects, pressing details, or anything else worth knowing. If a listing doesn’t answer your question, message the seller directly from the listing page before you buy.
