Privacy Policy

Effective August 10, 2026

1. Who we are

Disnasty (“Disnasty,” “we,” “us”) operates a marketplace at disnasty.co where individuals buy and sell used physical music media (vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and related formats). This policy explains what information we collect from buyers and sellers, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Account information. Email address, password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase, which never lets us see or store it in plain text), display name, avatar, and country.

Buyer information. Your shipping address, order history, and messages you send to sellers.

Seller information. Your ship-from address, processing time, payout details (collected and held directly by Stripe, not by us, as described in the section below on who we share information with), and, if you choose to connect it, your Discogs username and access token.

Listing content. Anything you upload to create a listing (photos, descriptions, condition grading, and pricing).

Payment information. We do not collect or store your full card number. Card details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure payment form and handled entirely by Stripe.

Usage data. On production traffic, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (pages viewed, general traffic patterns), and the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram advertising and show you more relevant ads on Meta’s platforms. Both only run after you accept cookies in the banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, only strictly necessary cookies (like staying signed in) are set.

Newsletter signup. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide and share it with Brevo, our email marketing provider, to send you newsletter content. This is separate from your account and only happens if you explicitly sign up.

Reports. If you report a listing or another user, we collect the details of your report (reason and message) and, if you’re signed in, associate it with your account so we can follow up.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Process orders, payments, payouts, and refunds
  • Calculate shipping rates and generate shipping labels and customs paperwork
  • Let buyers and sellers message each other about an order
  • Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping notifications, dispute updates, and similar account activity)
  • Send newsletter content, if you’ve signed up to receive it
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
  • Improve the marketplace based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information. If you accept cookies, we use the Meta Pixel to share limited browsing activity (such as pages viewed) with Meta to measure and improve our advertising, as described in the section below on who we share information with.

4. Who we share information with

We share information with the service providers we rely on to run the marketplace, and only to the extent each one needs to do its job:

  • Stripe: payment processing, seller payouts via Stripe Connect, and identity verification required by financial regulation.
  • Supabase: our database, authentication, and file storage provider.
  • EasyShip: shipping rate calculation, label generation, and customs form generation for international orders. This requires sharing the buyer’s and seller’s shipping addresses.
  • Resend: delivery of transactional emails (order updates, dispute notices, etc.).
  • Brevo: delivery of newsletter emails, if you’ve signed up to receive them. Only your email address is shared.
  • Discogs: catalog and cover art data for listings. If you connect your own Discogs account as a seller, your Discogs access token is used only to import your inventory and cover art on your behalf.
  • Google Analytics: aggregate site analytics on production traffic.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram): if you accept cookies, the Meta Pixel shares limited browsing activity (such as pages viewed) with Meta to measure our advertising and show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Discord: contact form submissions and listing/user reports (name, email, and message content) are relayed to an internal Discord channel so our team can respond to them.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we’d expect any successor to remain bound by this policy).

5. International transfers

Depending on where you and the other party to a transaction are located, shipping and payment information may be processed by Stripe, EasyShip, or Discogs in countries other than your own, including the United States.

6. Data retention

We keep account and order information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations (for example, records of completed sales). You can request deletion of your account as described below; some order records may still need to be retained where we’re legally required to keep them.

7. Your choices

  • Access and correction. You can view and update most of your account information directly from your account settings.
  • Deletion. You can request that we delete your account and associated personal information by contacting us.
  • Discogs disconnect. You can disconnect your Discogs account at any time from your seller settings, which removes our access to your Discogs token.
  • Cookie preferences. You can change your Google Analytics and Meta Pixel cookie choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

8. Children's privacy

Disnasty is not directed at children, and you must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

9. Security

We rely on industry-standard providers (Supabase and Stripe) for authentication, database, and payment security, and we don’t store sensitive payment data ourselves. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable technical and organizational measures.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
